Updates & Opportunities!

I just got a note from Major Randy Mulch who is overseeing the RevHi team in the Marshall Islands. He wrote to say that Emily and Lindsey have just returned to Majuro, after a week on the Arno Atoll, so that they could help out at the Guard and Sunbeam camp in Laura this coming week. He reports, "They are doing pretty well ... they're tired of local food already but doing OK. They've been doing things with the kids including swimming. They washed some laundry by hand and lived through it."
He also mentioned an interesting comment that was made by the girls stating that "(Homeless)life on the beach in Waianae is an easier life than Arno." While I was in Majuro the local paper ran an article concerning the alarming increase of homeless Micronesians in Hawaii. When the reporter approached one Marshallese man, whom she found eating out of a rubbish can, and asked him why he just doesnt return to his home islands, his reply was eerily familar to Emily and Lindsey's. Basically, being homeless in Hawaii is better than life in the Marshall Islands. Having done a number of missions to Micronesia over the years I can attest to the truth of this. There is great need and the workers are few.
Which brings me to an exciting new opportunity being offered by Revolution Hawaii for any of you who want to help out and make a difference in this difficult part of the world. Begining this September Revolution Hawaii will be starting a new component geared towards 3rd world missions. If you would like to do a short or long term mission to one of the many outposts and Corps where the army is already fighting in Micronesia, (which includes the Republic of Marshall Islands, Chuuk, Pohnpei, Guam, and the newest country in the army world, Saipan), we can make it happen. If you are interested, email us at info@revolutionhawaii.com and we will hook you up.
We are also still taking applications for the Revolution Hawaii 07-08 year here on Oahu. Applications can be downloaded at our website - http://www.revolutionhawaii.com/
If God is calling you, don't delay!
Peace in the fight,
-Rob
