Huh?

Everyone asks the same question. "What do you do at Revolution Hawaii"? Maybe it’s because The Salvation Army has a very strong “Martha” DNA, meaning that often success is measured by measures, (read stats), and “works” are highly valued.

This poses a problem when forced to define our ministry. We don’t have a lot of numbers to throw at you. Our programs, if any, are pretty simple, and often belong to another corps (church) or ministry.
We do a lot of “Mary” stuff. Sitting at Jesus feet. I think He called it “choosing what is better”. We do a lot of sitting and listening. To God and to others. Sometimes we talk, but usually it’s listening. And lot’s of loving. Not just those who love us back, although that’s pretty hard as well sometimes. No, we love the unloved and the unlovable. The smelly, dirty, crazy, foul mouthed, drunk, high, angry, sad, and hurting. “Go for souls and go for the worst.” That’s our DNA, and we accomplish this through love.

So, this still probably doesn’t answer "The Question" adequately enough for most. The best way is to read for yourself what is happening in the lives of the Revolution Hawaii warriors and those they love.
