"'I'll Fight' Fest"

"While women weep as they do now, I’ll fight; while little children go hungry as they do now, I’ll fight; while men go to prison, in and out, in and out, as they do now, I’ll fight; while there is a drunkard left, while there is a poor lost girl on the streets, while there remains one dark soul without the light of God, I’ll fight—I’ll fight to the very end." -General William Booth

The 3rd annual "'I'll Fight' Fest" Featuring special guest Michael Collins!

Michael Collins is the associate pastor of the Cariboo Hill Temple Corps in Burnaby, B.C. and is a man of God and hero of the faith. He has an amazing testimony that continues to grow daily as God uses him to fight the good fight and win the world for Jesus. As the associate pastor Michael regularly teaches and preaches. He leads a Sunday night service as well as a Celebrate Recovery ministry during the week. He leads a twice a week homeless outreach to the mean streets of Vancouver, serving soup, sandwiches, hot coffee, a kind word, prayer and love. He also leads SWAT, DOGS, Street Combat, SFU campus ministry TALK'S CHEAP, and Cariboo Hill Small Groups. He teaches at The War College and Revolution Hawaii. Besides all that he is an avid MMA practitioner and coaches a number of sports.

Michael is an amazing communicator who is truly anointed by God to spread the Good News. He is very much in demand and has traveled extensively preaching, teaching, encouraging and equipping believers and saving souls. He was a guest at our Hawaii Youth Councils a few years back and instantly hit it off with the youth of our division. He has been a featured speaker at the Western Youth Institutes, Aggressive Christianity Conferences and many major Salvation Army events around the world. We are privileged to have him for this event.

It doesn't get any better than this!

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is making a huge impact here in Honolulu. Lives are being transformed and it is due to a loving God that works miracles constantly. Please read the story that ran in yesterdays Star Bulletin.

Program Helps heal Hurt Lives!

Many of these men are good friends of ours and we have been privileged to see God answer our prayers and transform their lives right before our very eyes. I believe in a powerful, active, loving God because I am witness to what He is doing in my life and those around me on a daily basis. My prayer is that you can say the same.

Revolution!

Revolution Hawaii is more than halfway through the 2008-2009 year and it is already proving to be another great one. This is due in large part to an amazing team of red hot revolutionaries who came to this island mission field in early September with the desire to win the world for Jesus. William Booth said “Go for souls and go for the worst”. These courageous young adults, all between the ages of 18 and 21, have taken our Generals words to heart, leaving their comfortable lifestyles in California, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Florida and Chuuk to spend a year of their life fiercely loving those the world rejects.

For the skeptics out there who have been seduced by the great deceiver into believing that Hawaii is an island paradise free from sin and the destruction it creates, a day in the life of a Revolution Hawaii urban missionary will help reveal the ugly underbelly hiding beneath the beautiful veneer. Homelessness, addiction, abuse, neglect, hopelessness, despair and death can be found on the streets, beaches and neighborhoods throughout this “Aloha” state. Although it might seem daunting and even a bit risky, these Revolution Hawaii warriors fearlessly wade into the battle daily, taking the fight to Satan and his minions and waging war with love.

This has not been an easy task. Our enemy is not happy about this revolution and he does not fight fair. There have been momentary setbacks and times of despair. William Booth once sent a telegram to some officers facing similar difficulties. It consisted of two words which simply said, “Try tears”. Many tears have been shed this year over some of Revolution Hawaii’s new found friends who remain lost and hurting. More tears are sure to fall, but they are tears mixed with prayers to a loving and victorious God who works miracles in even the most hopeless of lives. And on those occasions when Revolution Hawaii experiences victory it is incredibly sweet.

Over the next six months we are hoping and praying for many more victories. If you are interested in getting into the fight alongside of us and are between the ages of 18 and 29 with a warriors heart and passion for the lost, Revolution Hawaii is now accepting applications for the 2009-2010 year.
